CyberDayze: My Second Life is now complete and headed to the publisher next week. I'd like to share the book blurb I wrote for it, now. Here goes:

Following in the footsteps of CyberDayze, written by myself, Gina Davis, and co-Author of CyberDayze: My Second Life, which is a book about another person's antics in the virtual world he coined 'Sin City' and formally known as Second Life. 

As Wikipedia explains it:

"Second Life is an online virtual world, developed and owned by the San Francisco-based firm Linden Lab and launched on June 23, 2003. By 2013, Second Life had approximately 1 million regular users. In many ways, Second Life is similar to massively multiplayer online role-playing games; however, Linden Lab is emphatic that their creation is not a game: "There is no manufactured conflict, no set objective".

Follow with Joe in his five year addiction to the game, the many personas that he created, stating that each was even more morally demented than the preceding personas.

The book lends the question on why seemingly balanced individuals in real life find such an attraction in creating devious characters and acting out less than admirable antics while engrossed in this virtual world. We also share his confusion of his behaviors, his love/hate relationships with others involved in the game, the negative effects that took place in his real life as a result of his lengthy addiction to this game and how he was forced to ultimately give up his participation in Second Life as it further took his real life into serious difficulties that could no longer be ignored. He also acknowledges his love for his online relationships, as well as his love for the game, since he adamantly explained that his Second Life was so much better than his real life. This made his cold turkey breakaway from Second Life difficult and painful. He also admits to finding himself logging onto the game at times, when temptation overwhelms his better judgment.

I hope that professionals in psychology and the newly emerging field of cyber psychology  can use this work academically and for case study in trying to understand why we do what we do in the WorldWideWeb that runs completely counter to our real life morals and values. 

I came across a book called The Cyber Effect, written by a pioneering cyber psychologist Mary Aiken, PhD, who explains on her book's cover, "Human behavior changes online."

And that, it certainly does. My book CyberDayze and CyberDayze: My Second Life are actual proof of her theory. I beseech you to read it, as her arguments shed light on the 'whys' of my and Joe's seemingly unexplainable behavior in our respective works.

There currently is no existing genre for our books and it is my goal to remedy this, since I firmly believe that others will have their own cyber stories to share in days to come. After all, it's a new world we now live in with the advent and rapid rise of the WorldWideWeb. I have named this new genre Social Network Psychology.

It's been just over one year now, that I began this odd, interesting Mission of mine. And, to this day, I have no clue as to what you, on the 'other side' of the WorldWideWeb view me as, other than this odd woman with a strangely interesting writing style who is known to go on YouTube flings and post buckfuls of peculiar music all over Twitter, Facebook and her blog sites, speaks frequently of some weird 'possession' she calls 'The Words' and shares oddly entertaining snippets about her many Intangible friends she's met along the way. 

And.

All are correct.

But my primary purpose for being here lies in a book I came across named The Cyber Effect and how it's impact upon me has moved me to an unexplainable Mission to promote the Message that the author, Mary Aiken PhD shares in it's pages. She is a pioneering cyber psychologist who explains in detail what needs to be addressed concerning the WorldWideWeb and what we do in it. It is more than uncanny how my book, CyberDayze, is actual PROOF of the theories she explains in her book.

And. The Message is extremely important. To EVERYONE.

I am  merely the messenger. My goal is to get the word out to as many as I can, and hopefully, along the way, can introduce the Mission to one who has the expertise to make change happen. I have been tweeting and tagging Oprah, Ellen, Dr. Phil, Jenny and Howard daily for months, full well knowing that my chances of being heard by them are almost nil. But. I feel that this Mission is extremely important, and thus continue my daily tweets tags and email to now only one-Howard Stern. I firmly believe that he is the only one who wields the talent, experience and expertise to make things happen. It will be no easy task, thus I recognize that Howard would have to have the same devotion to The Cause as I and Ms Aiken. Impossible odds? Probably. But. I just feel like I am supposed to carry on in this odd Mission of mine. I don't know why. And it's not my business to know. It's my business to Do.

So. I Do.

I realize that you have already made an incredible legacy of your name. And. That's why I humbly beseech you to look seriously into what I am RELENTLESSLY requesting you to do and make it your Personal Challenge. Because it is going to take tremendous heart and belief in The Cause as is my own for you to meet  your Challenge. It's not going to be an easy job.

But it is an extremely important task.

The Cyber Effect by Mary Aiken PhD is what I am talking about. PLEASE. Read it. And join us in-quite literally-saving future mankind from blindly stumbling into becoming  humans ill equipped in social behavior and development-as we are currently headed. It's that big, Howard. If you would please take the time and seriously contemplate the Message Ms Aiken shares in her book.

I firmly believe that YOU are the ONLY one that has the skill, talent, connections and power to head this in the direction it MUST go.

The book also talks about another very important topic-the need  for governing  laws to be introduced to the WorldWideWeb. Very controversial, is it not? And controversy will surely prevail since big businesses who are currently enjoying making any claims they want about their product when marketing in the WorldWideWeb will adamantly oppose the idea of laws governing behavior in the www needing to be introduced and upheld. 

Extremely big topics Ms Aiken discusses. 

Please, Howard. Take this as the serious matter that it is. I am NOT just another shmuck looking for fame and fortune garnered by you. Far from it. I do not seek the  limelight. I am merely the messenger.

Well. I was able to sleep maybe two hours last night, after succumbing, once again, to a three day freeforall those pesky ‘Words’ of mine always enjoy once 'They’ finally take over me-and then 'They’ commence to writewritewrite and playplayplay with 'Their’ Work.

You just don’t know what I go through with those pesky 'Words’. It’s exhausting.

Now, as I slowly regain control, my next step- usually accompanied with surprise and/or shock-but, I must admit-most often with the thought of 'Brilliant’!!-will now surface as I 'discover’ what those pesky 'Words’ of mine had been up to in my three day absence. That’s how I 'discovered’ CyberDayze, by the way.

But. 'They’ have a new project in which 'They’ are EXTREMELY excited-it’s all I heard about in the recess of my mind during my three days’ grace -was what 'They’ are planning. Which comes down to-what I will be doing for 'Them’ in 'Their’ new adventure. And. It’s a BIG ONE, folks. I have my doubts that I will be able to come through for 'Them’ on this excapade of 'Theirs’.

But. Somehow-I always do.

Remember Howard Stern? Yes, I still tag, tweet and email him daily, along with Oprah, Ellen, Jenny and Dr. Phil, But. 'The Words’ have 'Their’ hearts set on Howie.

And. 'They’ are correct. He is the ONLY one fit for the task those pesky  'Words’ of mine have assigned to me. And now-Him. He just doesn’t know about it yet.[smiles] 

I tried to remind 'Them’ that I was still quite busy, working on 'Their’ current project named CyberDayze. But. 'They’ were quick-and adamant-in 'Their’ arguement that this is a continuation of the same project. And. 'They’ are right. This time. Oh, 'They’ can be tricky with 'Their’ 'reasons’ on why I should let 'Them’ win 'The Battle Of Send’. Because that’s the one I most always win, to 'Their’ dismay. Because. Oftentimes 'They’ share too much information. Thus I forever ban 'Their’ Work to 'The Words Cemetery’-most commonly known as an Email draft folder. My decision ALWAYS makes 'Them’ very unhappy. 

Well, off I go, to do my usual blogblogbloging tweettweettweeting and postpostposting across the seeming entirety of the WorldWideWeb. But after that, I have to begin what I’m now deeming Step 2 in this strange, odd journey that fell upon my doorstep naming Me 'The Chosen’ in carrying out this behemothic venture.

Not to worry-I WILL keep you-and the world-abreast of my ?delirious? Plan. Remember Tyler Durden? He came to mind quite often in my three day haze. 

There. That’s a hint for you.

As this year closes, I can't help but think of the huge milestones I have made concerning CyberDayze.

So thank you to all who have hung in there with me.

As we ring in the New Year, I must say that I feel that even better things will come about with CyberDayze. My podcast Author Interview sparks that belief.

I am working on a new project that I believe will be extremely successful-as well as beneficial to many people. You'll certainly find out more about it in January 2018.

There is a whole lot of housekeeping going on in the CyberDayze family. We're making room for new friends that I have a feeling might soon be joining the ranks. So to speak. 😊

I also will be completing my work on my first Ghost Writing project, CyberDayze: My Second Life. It's going to be a great book! 🍃

So, all in all, 2017 was a good year for me and 2018 promises be even better! 🔥

My podcast Author Interview yesterday went beyond my wildest dreams! ☝️ It was absolutely awesome! ❤️ (It's hard to be humble when I'm so beside myself with excitement!) My battery died -Oopsy!-when we were two hours (!!!) into it and he messaged me and said he already has split what we had into parts One and Two and wants to schedule an appointment to do a part Three! I saw Paul McCartney in concert in San Francisco a few years ago and he was outstanding!👍 He looked great, didn't miss a beat 🚦and played for three hours! 🕓 Nine Inch Nails followed him and Trent paled in comparison. 🎬What a shame.🔕

To which I answered:

Today I got a negative report from someone who was reading CyberDayze to review it, in exchange for her book to be read and reviewed. She said she didn't understand it and that she had never had to return a book unfinished before. She said she had high hopes for CyberDayze and was really disappointed.🚫

What's that old saying-Bad publicity is good publicity? ❓❓

Yep. I think that's what it is, alright. ‼️

So. 

I am going to copy & paste her comment and then...blog about it.♨️

Here's that poor 🎴woman's comment about CyberDayze:

"I love everything about the internet and I had high hopes for this book. Sadly, it is the very first one here at OBC that I have to return in defeat. It is written in a very disjointed, weird style with a narrative I simply can't follow. I reached chapter 10, after which I stopped. I don't understand who Robert is, and I am confused as who her father is that she will end up marrying? I understand that the writer was depressed back in the day, but I am no psychologist, so I am unable to figure out what she is trying to say through her book.

Also, the pdf has two pages (columns) on one page which makes it very awkward to read both sides on my tiny iPad since I constantly have to slide my fingers from the left side of the page to the right side.

Overall, a negative experience which I don't want to continue."

I can only feel empathy for this woman's inability to understand 🚱CyberDayze. I recognized from the onset that it would take an intelligent and educated 📚individual to Get It. She apparently does not 🚯possess those attributes. I am not being mean; rather it's merely just a true proclamation.

As Kenneth said in his awesome Amazon Reader Review: "If you're looking for black and white and self-help prescriptions, you'll have to go elsewhere."

And he prefaced that grand review with this:

"An important work - get off the www for the time it takes you to read it!"

He is absolutely, spot on correct with that ascertation.

The name I have given of that new genre for the likes of CyberDayze is this:

She figured out 👍the premise of the story-and doesn't even know it. 🇦🇱⚖️

At any rate, I have been busybusybusy ☝️ adding friends and yesterday I came across a friend named Amad Elbez. Now, in my original, now deleted, Facebook account, Amad and I used to message each other frequently. He lived in Egypt 🇪🇬 and was an avid musician 👨🎤 in my genre of music. 🎶 He suffered great pressure from his family, because of his chosen lifestyle. And. He lived with his parents. He also was chastised for abandoning his religion. He talked in length with me about his life and what it was like to live in Egypt. 🇪🇬 

And he was intrinsically interested in what my life in the United States 🇺🇸 was like. And was extremely envious of the many many concerts that I have attended. Because, you see, artists in our genre of music 🎶 don't tour in Egypt . 🇪🇬 So. Amad had never had the opportunity to see any of his favorite artists perform live.

And then  one ☝️ day I saw this post from Amad in newsfeed:

"Never again"

He posted that going on, 😒 hmm, eight years now. And, checking his timeline I see-he has stuck to his promise.

And I started wondering, what happened to Amad that possessed him to leave Facebook? He was a gentle, kind young man, so I don't think it had to do with problems with Facebook peeps.👀 Did he ditch his musical life and return to his religion? Or did he meet a partner and marry? I don't think it was the latter, because his post 'never again' has a negative 👎 connotation to it. 

I miss Amad. And I will never know the answer to my question of what became of him. And it reminds me of something Paul wrote to me and is shared in the pages 📚 of CyberDayze: 

"Social networking: You have the ability to establish a certain degree of anonymity while being able to express talents, interests and passions in a way we cannot do in a terrestrial way. The downside is someone can disappear and then anonymity sucks. You miss them."

Tiz the downfall of Intangible friends, is it not?🤷♀️

Now I command a TREMENDOUS presence in Twitter. Not bragging. Just informing.

And I often wonder which of the two-Twitter or Facebook-is the better marketing platform for CyberDayze. Now I hope 🤞 that it would be Facebook. Because it is here that I can writewritwrite. And post pictures that won't be truncated to fit the marginal size of a Twitter tweet. [Ihatethat!!!]

But it's tweets like these that I receive in Twitter that make me think that it is, in fact, Twitter which wins out between the two.

CyberDayze: My Second Life 

…is the NEXT book, my Blogger peeps.

JoeJoe had a change of heart on sharing HIS cyber story and, thus, backed out on me after I had completed seventeen chapters.

I have been inviting my 20k Facebook peeps to ‘Like’ his Facebook page. And I get notifications that tells me that they are doing just that. And. I have been sharing his Facebook posts of his books that he is advertising to my four timelines.
